Baglamukhi mandir and Kangra

Now that your travel companions have reached the Una bus station, head back there geting an ice-cream in the afternoon heat. There you could wait for a bus to Kangra or more practically(too hot to be sweltering for longer than twenty minutes for a bus) split a prepaid taxi bill for approximately four thousand rupees.Ask the cab driver to take you to baglamukhi temple, kangra mata temple and to drop you at your hotel.Enjoy the view of the white clouds against the clear blue sky , trees of different greens and multicolored temples. Baglamukhi mandir is mostly crowded so wait in queue for the darshan. Dwar (temple doors) close around 6 pm for devi shringar when you will have to sit wherever you are in the queue till the dwar open again. You can get hindu ritual pooja in the temple grounds, click some pictures, buy forest honey, home temple supplies, incense from the shops within the premises.

Get back in the cab and soon be greeted by snow-capped mountains and houses nestled in the various greens on your right. Now after a walk you are in the alley of the kangra temple.Deposit your footwear with the chatty man in charge. On either side, you have men selling temple supplies, gemstones, star-shaped packet of candies, imli (tamarind) candies in different colours and flavours . In the street, there is a small temple on your right.

When you enter the kangra temple gate, take atleast ten minutes to take in the brightly coloured paintings of Krishna on the ceiling and walls. The colours are made from natural pigments with detailed depiction of flora and landscapes showcasing Pahari style of miniature art. Offer your respect at the temple and collect some pictures as memories.Leave for the chowk. You could walk a little further downhill near Singh Sabha Gurudwara with a lady paathi to get yourself beverages while your cab driver gets out of the little traffic near where he has parked. Before you end your night at your hotel, get yourself the famous Himachali pakoda curry-chawal with chutney(Curry-Rice) at any of the places you see packed with customers.
